Words can't describe...

As I get older, I find that I am more and more emotionally affected by the events our world goes through. I'm not directly related to the victims of our days tragic events nor do these tragic events even occur remotely close in distance to me. My heart feels so heavy for the victims of Haiti's earthquake that occured on January 12, 2010. So many men, women and children were left with absolutely nothing and more often than not, have lost one if not more family members. It's hard to put yourself in their shoes and to imagine the struggle and worry the victims have of finding lost or deceased family members and still needing to find shelter, food and medication for the rest of your family.

One thing I continue to learn is the resiliency we all have as individuals; for the survivors to rise from the rubble even after days and days of burial and to look towards a new day with gratitude and renewed faith. I also learn that no matter how much violence, death and drama that is portrayed these days on the news, there are still countless people out there with the softest hearts and willing hands to give what they can to those who can't.

I'm thankful for our country and the means we have to provide relief and hope in times of heartache. I'm thankful for the selfless doctors and medics out there who give their time and talents to treat the wounded.

I'm thankful there's still hope...

Sugar for your fingers!

I started making these rings last year just to see what they would turn out like and surprisingly they turned out really well! I've always been a jewelry freak so anyway that I could get way cute, reasonably priced and lots of it has always been on my list of to-do's.

I especially love, Love, LOVE the big chunky rings that come in every color! One for every outfit, mood or even multiples to layer.
I've managed to sell a few to random people that wanted some so I figured I should post my pictures and make them available to everyone!!!
If you would like one and want a particular color or shape of gem please leave a comment with your ring size and color of metal (gold or silver)

Small round gems: $4.00 (any color)
Large round gems: $5.00 (any color)
Large oblong gems: $7.00 (any color)
Turquoise: $6.00

May I have everyone's attention!

For anyone planning on getting married or knows of anyone getting married or just wants a dress for the heck of it...

I am selling mine!

As much as I LOVED this dress, I have no use for it any longer. It's a beautiful corset-backed dress that has never had any alterations whatsoever. No damages, blemishes or anything but I will dry clean it for anyone who is interested.

There are crystals that outline the neck and armlines as well as rouching from the chest to midsection. The shop that I bought this from said this is a size 2 but due to the corset back, they can fit a size 0, 4 and possibly even a 6. Alterations, if needed, would be fairly minimal and simple.

I will sell it for $500 or OBO (or best offer)
and if you'd like to see the dress or try it on, I have it here at home in Ephraim.

let me know if you're interested- 214-554-4136

Home for the Holidays

I cannot believe Christmas and New Years have already come and gone. Time flies when you have fun for sure! Josh and I got to Dallas, Dec 10th and spent a good 3 weeks at home with family and friends. There were a few events that we didn't quite anticipate. First of which- my poor and faithful Jetta saw it's last days. We drove 1200 miles from Utah to Dallas with no problems whatsoever and after we get home, we decide an oil change might be beneficial, BUT to our dismay- it's what killed her. The stupid mechanic just "forgot" to put oil in the car and sent us on our way. 30 miles later...ON THE HIGHWAY at RUSH HOUR, the engine blows. Yes- destroyed, ruined, kaput, DEAD! So the last 2 weeks of our vacation was spent working with the mechanic's shop, their insurance company and an attorney. This may sound like a complete unfortunate event, but honestly we feel this is a blessing because Jetta's time was coming close and we knew that if we were going to sell it, we wouldn't get much for it. BUT, because the shop is at fault, we should get a settlement and the value of the car which is alot more than I really expected. Merry Christmas to us!

On to other events, we had so much fun with the family. We made it to a Mav's game, went to our farm in Oklahoma, reunited with friends that I haven't seen since the wedding, New Years in downtown Dallas, laughs and new memories with the family and ALOT of eating. It was a blast and I'm so thankful for such awesome family and friends. Thank you mom and dad for everything, we love you tons and can't wait to see you again soon.

I'm just going to post pics. Hope everyone had a FANTASTIC holidays and may 2010 be the best year yet! Much love-
